Job Description: Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Apply customer and competitor insights to create business plans, explore new business opportunities, and facilitate product launch. Research market conditions and gather information to determine potential sales of Microsoft’s products or services. Gather information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution. Analyze consumer needs, synthesize competitive information, identify growth opportunities, and create marketing campaigns. Evaluate market potential and return on investment (ROI) of key programs to help determine areas of potential investment or divestment. Develop an understanding of Microsoft’s product portfolio to analyze strategic priorities, competitive position, gaps, and potential opportunities. Support and review product roadmap, go-to-market, integration, and related plans to ensure effective marketing campaigns. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned MSFT office location.
Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related.
12 months of experience in any marketing, market analysis, sales strategy, or product management related occupation.
Education or experience in Defining product value proposition and framework for segmentation, targeting and positioning for enterprise software or technology products; Developing go-to-market strategies; Analyzing and visualizing quantitative data; Applying marketing and strategy models to solve business challenges; Determining market size for products/services; Conducting industry and competitive analysis; and Developing integrated marking communication strategies.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (ML88585A), in Redmond, WA, is $142,000 to $172,000.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed here may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 scheduled paid holidays, and up to 80 hours Holistic Health Time Off. Additionally, hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid vacation time, and salaried/exempt employees have Discretionary Time Off (DTO).
